So crazy how the snow can be here so quickly and gone just as fast.  It is nice to get back to "normal" after a crazy week of weather.

If you were planning on attending the Healthy Kids, Healthy Families Fair at BCC, don't worry, you didn't miss it.  It is reschedule for February 25th.  BC Parent Education and Swedish Hospital are putting on a fabulous event focusing on overall health for the entire family!  Come with the family and enjoy this fun event, Seattle's very own Caspar Babypants will be performing.  Stop by The Macaroni Kid booth and say hi!  Hope to see you there.

The Buddies Are Back! January 31st!

Disney’s talking canine superstars are back in “Treasure Buddies,” their 6th all-new adventure. This latest story is told from the perspective of the Buddies’ newest friend, a mischievous Egyptian monkey named Babi. As Babi tells us, more than 40 years ago, a young archeologist named Thomas Howard, travelled to Egypt with his dog Digger to search for the lost necklace of Cleocatra. They managed to discover half of an artifact, the Bronze of Bastet, but their find triggered a booby-trapped cave-in, which they barely escaped. Forty years later, Thomas ...

Pancake and Sausage Muffin

This year one of my goals was to make more and buy less, at least when it comes to convenience foods.  My kids love Pancakes on a Stick, a pancake wrapped around a breakfast sausage on a stick.  I can't blame them, I love anything on a stick!

What you need: 

 

  •  Candy Canes
  • Lollipop Sticks you can get at Michaels or Joanns in the Baking section
  • Baking pan

 

Heat your oven to 250 degrees and cook for 6 – 8 min depending on the candy cane some melt a little faster than others.   I just did one first so I know how long it would take for the rest.   Then after they have cooked for 6 – 8 min you just press the ends that are not connected together and push the stick in and let it cool for 10 ...
